We have made every effort to try and make our exhibitions, facilities and services as accessible as possible to all visitors. Our accessibility page contains lots of details to help you plan an enjoyable and comfortable visit.
A carer or personal assistant is free of charge when accompanying a paying visitor. A carer or personal assistant is free of charge when accompanying a paying visitor, but does require a free ticket. Please be aware that due to the historic nature of the building, in some parts of the museum there will be low ceilings, uneven floors and many steps. Flat shoes are advisable. Please wrap up warm on colder days.

The National Justice Museum worked with Rainbow Parents, Carers, and Young People to co-produce a film to create virtual access to areas of the museum which have been identified as challenging spaces for visitors with reduced mobility, autism, and claustrophobia. These areas are the Women’s Laundry and Exercise Yard, the Debtors prison, the Dungeons (with oubliette).
The film was produced as part of the National Justice Museum's Heritage Lottery Fund project.
